2x Grammy Nominee Raul Midón Releases
Ambitious Genre-Bending New Album Lost & Found
Available Now on ReKondite Rekords

‘Lost & Found’ Takes a Deep Dive into Life’s Triumphs and Disappointments.
“A Stunning Display of Veteran Musicianship” - Glide Magazine
“A Stellar New Album”- Rock & Roll Globe

(April 26th, 2024) Blind singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Raul Midón is joined on this stunning body of
work with his friends, industry veterans, Andrés Forero (Hamilton, Phish, U2) on Drums & Percussion, Richard
Hammond (Hamilton) on bass, Federico Peña (Black Lives: From Generation to Generation) on keyboards & piano.
He’s also had to re-learn the art of engineering with all the new tools and software in the market. He was assisted by
New York recording engineer, Michael O’Reilly, whom he met while making his major label debut album “State of
Mind” under the careful eye of legendary producer, Arif Mardin.
Engineering ‘Lost & Found’ came with a whole set of new challenges, given the technology for the blind is not
consistent and it’s a constant struggle, one he continues to confront.
With ten delicious songs on the album, it’s a blend of what Raul calls ‘Smooth folk’, ‘Alt-Pop’ and ‘Jazz’. Something
for everyone.
He’s a master at combining genres, a showman with a ton of tricks and knows how to deliver that feel good energy.
Whether you’re listening to the recording, or watching him live, Raul will have you feeling a million times better about
life!
Standout songs on ‘Lost & Found’ include the first single “Keep On Keeping On”, which is an uplifting bluesy pop
song. It enjoyed its debut on National TV back in December, 2023 on the Jennifer Hudson Show. His performance
blew her mind.
“The Ganja Song” is a bouncy ska-ish take on the latest cannabis craze. The crooner chants “There would be no
Rock ‘n’ Roll music if it wasn’t for weed”. The song speaks to the transformational effects and how its upbeat musical
treatment is meant to uplift the way a flower does. The lyric video premiered with Celeb Stoner and was released
world-wide on 4:20.
“Next Time” is a galloping rock waltz and a co-write with songwriter/author Mike Errico. It’s about seizing the day as
there may not be another and every moment is a precious one. You hear a massive string section and wizardry
guitar madness.
The title track “Lost & Found”, Midón calls “smooth folk” and a song he wrote early in his career. The lyrics were
inspired by his listening to Bob Dylan reading of his poem, “Last Thoughts on Woody Guthrie.” It’s a tribute to the
human spirit.
Another highlight is the soulful collaboration with Ethiopian R&B songstress Wayna on their Sting-like co-write “A
Condition of Love”. The song had a world premiere with SoulTracks . A song about the many aspects of love that are
not necessarily romantic. An R&B ballad for modern times.
Raul’s masterful musicianship, awe-inspiring technical acrobatics, and charming melodies, will have you singing
along, finger-snapping, bopping and grooving till the end of time! These ten songs are luscious and will have you
craving for more.
His strongest album to date, there’s no signs of Raul slowing down.
‘Lost & Found’ is the 2nd album released on his own imprint ReKondite ReKords.

Raul has worked with countless legends in the industry including Bill Withers, Herbie Hancock, Sting, Terence
Blanchard, & Dianne Reeves to name several. In 2022 he was honored to pay tribute to one of his idols “Joni
Mitchell” with the National Symphony Orchestra arranged and conducted by Vince Mendoza at The Kennedy Center
alongside Lalah Hathaway, Jimmie Herrod & Renee Fleming (PBS Next at the Kennedy Center). Raul was also
featured on Alex Cuba’s Grammy Winning record ‘Mendó’ in 2022. It won best latin pop album at the Grammy’s. The
song was “Camino y Ven”.
He received two Grammy nominations back-to-back in 2017 and 2018 for his albums “Bad Ass and Blind” and “If You
Really Want” in the Best Jazz Vocal Category. In 2019 he was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from his
alma mater, University of Miami. In 2021 he was given the Disability Rights Ambassador of the Year award, presented
to him by his colleague Jason Mraz.
Raul embarks on the next leg of his “Lost & Found” N.American Tour.
